Presidential Campaign Photography

1) Taking lots of pictures to make your candidate look good for consumption by the huge number of media outlets that don't have newswire subscription

2) Has to have great access and to do that you must exist outside the power structure

3) A campaign photographer's typical day is 12+ hours, plus editing and uploading

4) He uses different kinds of canon lenses

5) His work was seen in Washington Post, Vanity Fair, NY Times, Wired, many local papers and magazines including several cover shots. His skills were dos used on TV by CBS Minutes, and CNN Larry King Live

6) No, because it is part of their code to not photoshop their pictures.

7) It is the nation's record keeper of all documents and materials created in the curse of business conducted by the United States federal government

8) I wouldn't want to be a campaign photographer because I wouldn't want to be told what to photograph. I like taking pictures of what I find to be aesthetically pleasing to me. I also wouldn't want to spend half of my day following people around. Although I'd like to meet the president, the job as campaign photographer doesn't seem enticing.
